Ed - | Wal-mart drug test! waiting to call back!? |
i had an interview at walmart last tuesday then 2 people had interview me, then after that the last person who interviewed me told me to come with him,bec he had something to show me,so when i was in the oficce he said to read the its like the agreement then i also sign i thing its about the salary then i sign it, then he gave me the paper for the drug test and he said i have to do it w/in 24 hrs, then i took the drug test. then he also give me a paper it's written there those thing that i need to bring when they call back after the result of the drug test! but until now they didn't call me yet. how long does it take for walmart to call me back. its been 3 days after my drug test.

i don't do drugs, even smoke or drink,, im confident with the result of the test, im just curious when they will call me back bec. its been 3 days but they dont call me yet. thanks |

You have the job already if they sent you for a test so long as your drug & background check comes back fine. You'll most likely hear from them this coming week. They have to wait for the clinic to give them results and they could be the hold up - as they don't have control over how long the clinic will take. They also have to make sure your background check is good. If you've never been convicted of a felony you're fine. You've signed papers to be hired & all that. Trust me. |

Give it two more days and then call them. Tell them you are just following up on your interview and are wondering where they are in the process. Good luck! |

I would give it a few more days. The drug testing office may take a long time to complete the test and get the results back to Walmart. If you feel the need to call about it, don't tell your whole story to the person who answers the phone, ask for the personnel manager.
It sounds like you were hired & they just have to have your drug test on record before you can start.
Was a background check mentioned also? Do you have anything to worry about there? |

will the real question would be is there something in your drug test that would make u wonder that you might not get the job is not then it usually take a few days so call the on Monday before flipping out. |

It will take a little while for them to call you back. If they don't within two weeks, then go back there and see what's up. For now, just be patient. |

It could take 2 wks. or more. Wal _ Mart is slow about these things. Suggest you talk to some employees and see how they are treated before you take a position w/ WM ! |

i've worked at wal-mart and they will call you back within a week, but if i were you i would not wait for the call, Start looking for another job now, you dont want to work there. low pay, bad benefits and a work environment with no direct leadership, and they treat you like a slave, you really are just an expenditure to them. |
