Ok, I hate shopping at Wal-mart and avoid it at all costs for many reasons (stinky people, over crowding, screaming children, unfair wages, lack of company morals.) However, when you live in a small town like I do sometimes you are forced to go there for things that you can not buy elsewhere in your town.
But now heres a new reason for me not to go there. They are mre expensive! I did some price comparisons and it is actually cheaper to shop at price chopper! Granted, yes, some things are cheaper at Wal-mart, but not everything. Have you also noticed wal-marts prices rising?

Certian items are cheaper at certian places. You have to know what is cheaper where when on a budget. Thier electronics might be high but thier milk prices are cheaper than the super market. Paper towels may be cheaper at CVS. Actually if they are opening CVS Stores they are trying to beat the competion with lower prices. WE have a brand of stores here also called PICK-N SAVE, which has deals on lots of things that are 10 items for $10(or a dollar each) Each week they change them up.. this week its heads of lettuce, lunchables, frozen lemonaid, cookies, lunchmeat.... so go thru your sunday paper for advertisements and see what places have the things you want for the cheapest and make some lists and GO SHOPPING!! |

Yah. My wife and I were just in Walmart a couple days ago for a couple things and I noticed that their Rainbath body soap is $9 -something for a medium-sized container. The same EXACT stuff is at Costco for ~$16 for two, larger containers.
Going there just bugs me anyway. Smelly, crazy-looking people and their 20 kids and jerks who get in the self-check line when they have no concept how to use it -- you know who you are! |

Yes, actually, I have. I am a Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus lover, and so I buy a lot of merchandise. I looked online, and Target actually had cheaper prices! You can look for yourself. Walmart is a waste because it's either the same or more, and it's a horrible environment! I recommend to try Target or something else. Although, I think K Mart is just as bad. You may want to do research on what you're buying before you buy it. Research prices at different places, and what place you should buy it from. |

The prices are very expensive at Wal-mart. I have shopped for clothes there and I have found that I can get clothing at better quality stores for cheaper prices. I definetly think they are overpriced on just about everything in their store. Totally have to agree with you! |

Wal-Mart is NOT a bad store. I shop at wal-mart for me, but I shop at JCpenny for my kids, but I am spoiling them. I dont want them to be out of fashion, so I always buy the best for them.
WalMart is a family store, I dont know where you live but here in NY WalMart is awsome. |

Walmart is not any cheaper or more convenient than your local grocery store. They have just brainwashed people into believing that. They force the vendors to sell products so cheap that they cannot maintain the integrity with which the product should be made, so therefor you are buying a product that has been made by cutting corners and cost in all ways possible. This means that the products you buy from Walmart are not going to last as long or be as well made as something you might buy at a different store.
Did you also know that Walmart has thousands of peope who do nothing but gather information about the customers. They get this information from your credit cards and checks and credit applications. One of the many things they then do with this information is sell it to anyone who is willing to pay for it. Now how ethical is that? |

yes Wal-Mart has gotten more expensive over the years, cause they realize that they have put so many people out of business already. So if they raise prices, people who live in small town like yourself, are almost forced to shop there no matter what...And they figure since they are cheaper on some things, maybe since you are already there you will probably just do all your shopping there instead of going somewhere else! Wal-Mart is bogus! |

I am happy to hear you don't shop there. I don't. Walmart opens a store. Beats everyone else's prices, puts mom and pop shops out of business. The raises their prices. And you are right, workers are not happy. |
