Wal mart refused to sell an item because it didn't have a UPC #. ?
It was a Walmart pattern book display they were selling for $2.50. It had the price writen with black marker .i bought one just like it the week before, the manager said they couldn't sell it because It was a display but apently the manager was blind or decide to ignore the price writen on it. What should I do? I'm trying to reach customer service but I have no luck
As long as they know what the price is, the item can be manually entered into the register at the point of sale and then rectified with the inventory later. There's really no excuse for that kind of nonsense.

LOL I had this same issue with them! I went over to customer service and asked for a manager. Then they sent a manager out and she found a comparable item and charged me that amount.
I'm not sure there's much you can do if you left the store already. But since you did.... now go somewhere else and buy it. Try to beat $2.50 :)
blah blah blah
something like that happend to me before...
i drove my little cousin to walmart so she could get a toy and she found one she wanted and loved and it was the only one so it made her exited.

The UPC # is used to keep track of inventory and to know which item has been sold. It is the manager's option to sell the item or not.
Someone writing a price in black marker is not a normal Walmart operation. They may be able to return it to the vendor for credit.
I think you should drop it.

Find out who the actual store manager is and contact him, or Walmart will have a District Manager he would be a good person to contact. Dont waste time with the Dept managers.
