Computer software is tricky. I work at Wal-Mart, at the service desk, I know these things. It really depends on the store itself. Technology they are not suppose to because it is computer software and they have no idea of the purchase date without the receipt. I would try it though, the worse they can do is say no. |

Office 2007 is so much better. It has all the same feature as 2003 but everything is so much more organized and, well beautiful. But if you're adamant on returning it, WalMart will give you store credit. If you want the cash, go to your local community college and put a bulletin up in the student union, you can make $100 off of it easy. |

Store credit, be sure to get the little sticker on it from the person at the entrance, showing you brought it in. |

storer credit via a gift card, but for those others that may read this,if wal-mart cannot find the item in there system, there will be no refund or credit of any kind. I tried returning a 3 week old sewing machine to a different wal mart without the receipt, and I was left hanging on to the machine unless I bring it to the original store where I bought it. That would end up costing me over one hundred dollars in gas to do so. |

I think if you don't have a receipt you can still get store credit.
Although you might consider just putting it up on e-bay and selling it if they give you any crap. |

As long as it is still sealed they should give you a gift card, I personally have returned many items with and without receipts and have never had a problem. good luck |

Without a receipt, pretty much any place you go will at the most give you store credit on a gift card, if anything at all. I used to work at Wal-Mart, and I have worked in other retail stores as well. The issue is the fact, that while the situation you are in is true, they have no idea if you stole that item, and are now trying to return to get money for nothing. The fact that it isn't opened will help out a lot, because no place that sells software can take it back if it is opened, because you could have copied it on a cd, and then taken it back. It's possible if you throw a big enough fit, they will give you cash back. That is pretty much all you have to do. I saw it happen time and time again when I worked there. They would take items back all the time that they shouldn't have. |

I'm not 100% sure about electronics, but usually Wal-Mart easily accepts returns with no reciepts with small purchases. Try it and if it doesn't work, at least you tried! But it should work, Wal-Mart makes it's return policy very efficient for customers to keep people happy! |

will be store credit. the thing is they wold give you cash for it if you had receipt. they are good at returns though and i am sure you tell them it was late birthday present theyw ill be ok with it theya re good people i have found. |

I have returned a few things without a receipt and they gave me a gift card for their store. so it worked out great. |

No refunds. They would let you exchange it for another software title like Double Dribble Basketball, or Strike Em Out Baseball, or even SIMS: Alyssa's island adventure which are all currently on sale for 3.88 |

They will give you a gift card. However if you need cash my son has done this. Go get the card. At the return desk ask for a money order for the amount the card was issued. Give them the card and pay for it. Then endorse the money order and cash it there at the wal mart return desk. ta daaaa now you have cash. |
