wal mart is so cheap cause they get their products from china they don't care about their employees I feel their motto souldn't be roll back prices but "SCREW THE AMERICAN WORKER, CHINA IS THE WAY" just remember when nobody has a job it doesn't matter how cheap wal-mart is nobody will be able to afford anything |

Stupid - they are cheap because they buy directly from manufcturers and their code of conduct is so strict that only the fittest and the best can supply Walmart. Their one order can make or break a company. My company had been one of the suppliers to Walmart , we did it just once but could not follow their coc and we were out.
Regarding their employees payment - best thing is catch hold any one of them and you will know why? It is selling quality stuff cheap to the whole world and bending all the mega corporations to it knees. Thing positive and you will know how is Walmart good for the society. Be my friend. Regards |

i dont think wal-mart is cheap they just practice the "quick turnover idea" ok for example walmart and albertsons these are both groceries stores walmart buys 50,000 sets of tv and albertsons buy 20,000 sets,walmart is likely to finish first why because they but directly from maufacturers and in bulk making them to reduce their price lets say they bought a tv set for $24.50 they can sell that tv for $27 and while albertsons will want to increase price to make high profit,people rush the ones in wal mart and they finsh first make the profit and make another order the thing walmart is to great to beat if u look closely at their stores most of their products are now walmart products while some carry a name that is owned by them is not necessarily walmart u will see on the product,but they own it and the idea of super-walmart is now going to be putting small -scale busineess out that why is mostly dollar and pound shops that survive if they go one-on-one with walmart,so thats the idea |

The real reason Walmart is so cheep is that they have huge buying power. This means that they can state their price to suppliers, if the supplier wants Walmart's business they sell to their product below wholesale. This way Walmart can sell at a price lower than the competition. This is why when Walmart comes to town the small business (low buying power=higher prices) suffer and sometimes go out of business. |

because they have so many stores and they make so much money that even if they do so bad in one store they are still making money all their cds are sold cheaper then what they paid for them and they sill make money but if walmart stopped selling music then the record companies woudl go bankrupt how crazy!! |

One reason they are so cheap is because their employees don't get paid that much. They also "jip" a lot of their employees when it comes benefits and such. I worked for them for a while, it wasn't horrible, but it definately wasn't the best job I ever had. However, I still shop there because you really can't beat the prices. |

The biggest money saver is they are not unionized go to your local grocery store and buy a box of cereal go to Walmart buy a box of cereal compare the prices. Overhead including wages and benefits are included in the price.

Andy said it perfectly. They can coerce wholesalers to sell to them cheaply because they are buying such huge quantities of product. Because they bought them cheaply they don't have to charge as much as the local family-owned store. That's what it comes down to...extreme buying power. Everyone bows down to them because they want their products sold there. Stay out of Wal-Mart...it's an extremely greedy and corrupt corporation. Scoundrels. Instead try supporting a locally owned store. The money stays in the community and doesn't get sent to Arkansas to make some greedy family rich. Wal-mart is the devil...and the twilight zone kinda like that guy above said. Just a weird place. The Southpark episode about Wal-Mart is exactly how I feel when I go in there. I hate that place. |

well i think walmart is strange because they act like they are super cool and whatever but thy aint so i dont know why walmart is so cheap if its to cheap they should drop they prices and say everythings free and the emplyees are strange well i dont know why they are strange and that robaly didnt answer ur question lol |
