I used to bank with Bank of America and hated the customer service. But then again, I now bank at SunTrust and am not highly impressed with them either.

I have had several customer service issues at B of A and none at Wamu. I like Wamu because the checking accounts are free and you can get free checks with them too. (not that we use them much anymore these days). They seem to have many locations around so hitting up an ATM is never a problem and the staff inside the branches have all been busy. The 24hr cust serv folks aren't the greatest but the people in the branch are. I made a mistake and transfered too much money and got a bunch of overdraft charges. I went into the bank and within 5 minutes I had explained my lapse in judgement and they had me taken care of. Since then I have been pretty sold on wamu.
But check out both websites, see what they both offer, and look around town to see which has locations more convenient to you.
