Were they right?
we were made redundant from work last week and some of the employees took stuff from the company cos they were not gonna pay any redundancy to the staff. were they in their rights to take stuff to the value of what they were owed

some of them had worked there for 15 years and were getting nothin to show for it in the end

Morally they were right, legally they were wrong. If the company goes backrupt they are only some of the creditors and ought to take their chances in the bankruptcy courts. But it's always the workers who lose out, and somehow the directors always manage to hang on to their houses and pensions, so I'm glad they did it.

they were stealing of course but I can understand why they've done it. There are very few employers I sympathise with, they get rich on the backs of their workers, most dont give a damn about them and when things go wrong they're quick enough to make sure their own pockets are lined nicely before chucking out the once loyal work force into financial despair.

Not ok if they get caught. I would get a new job if I felt like I was not treated fairly. It will only get worse.
