every thing. the unionised labour does its shift and packs off. the management cant do a thing about that unless they pay them overtime wages. the poor slobs who are executives or not unionised have the sword of being shacked hanging over there heads, hence the killing working hours. why dont we pressurise our senators to regulate such inhuman practices? |

A few years ago, my husband became a manager at his job. His boss actually told him, that if he was married, it would be better if he wasn't, because they require them to be all work, and wives and families just get in the way, and you won't go far here if you put your wife and family first. Needless to say, he doesn't work there any longer!
Once in a while we see someone who still works there, and they are all DIVORCED!
Its corparate GREED, and they are the main reason for high divorce rates and the breakdown of family values in this country. |

Thank God I got an early retirement, I know what you mean, I was going nuts out of job related stress, I had almost no time to be with my wife and kids, I couldn't sleep well, it was crazy like hell. I worked for a bank, middle management. Finally, thanks to a window granted by the legislature on capital gain taxes, I was able to resign and take home my profit sharing money paying only 10% to the government. This is like a new life for me. I'm now able to travel anytime I want, I spend a lot more time with my family, I play golf in the weekdays, and above all, I'm stress-free. I hope you can do something to get out of that mess. Such a lot of working hours a week could be a sign of management by crisis, not by objectives. Good luck. |

I think there is something wrong with your manager.
There is no proper time management.Because of that all has to work more.
So if management has proper resources with proper responsilibities defined then i think there is no such problem... |

You are the employee and you accepted the job.
If you don't like your job or employer, go elsewhere.
Frankly, from your statement and its grammar, it shows you have at best a high school diploma, you probably were at best a C student, and you likely have no marketable skills. Had you applied yourself in high school and then either entered a skilled trade school OR college and pursued a meaningful college degree program you would not be in your situation.
Now you have 2 choices - continue to complain or do something about it. |
