Love em... As far as a business goes they are geniuses... Well unless you are a bleeding heart liberal. Then they would be the devil incarnate. But ta hell with the BHL's anyway. |

I haven't shopped at Wal*Mart for over four years. Not that my measly $200/week means anything to them, but it gives me a sense of satisfaction. Of course, I do buy from many other corporations that are nearly as evil, I have just picked Wal*Mart out as the evilest of the evils.
Why? Undercutting competition at a loss for the purposes of running them out of business, bullying vendors and shippers, contributing to the increasingly low quality of almost every kind of product, abhorrent treatment of their employees, undermining the free market, attempting to create a monopoly, price-fixing, and, last but not least, going in to their stores unsettles and disturbs me. Customer service? There is none. The cashiers won't even look at you, and there are no employees to be found on the sales floor. Droning televisions with advertisements that remind me of "1984" are throughout the stores, which are poorly kept, messy, and dingy. |

OK, I am coming from a different place.
I am on a limited budget and can buy my groceries there at about half of what I pay at any other store in town.
They carry a variety of products and in a small town I don't like driving 30 miles to the next store.
Good prices in the pharmacy but still thank the Maker for E-bay. |

Wal mart tries to brainwash their employees and they started on a made in the usa practice and now nothing is made in usa that is in the store hardly, it's all money now. Not for us for them... |

It is all about the dough now...I believe Sam Walton was a wonderful and extremely intelligent man! But the family became too greedy after his and his oldest son's death. My Hubby and Father-in-law have delivered for them in the past, and they are very hard to work with. Speaking with people that sell their products to them, they say that Wal Mart dictates how much they will pay and when the product will be ready for shipment, etc...If these conditions are not met, they will buy elsewhere, so it really sucks for the smaller companies, Wal Mart takes all the profit for themselves. But companies keep selling to them because they order so much, and they eventually keep them in business, even though they have to work their butts off really hard to do so...Hope this helps! |

the stores are crowded, the merchandise for the most part is cheap and flimsy, and its not worth my time to fight the crowds and unhappy employees to save 30 cents on a bottle of Tide. |

like all large corporations there will be only 2-4 in the world that will control the goods....other examples are only 4 oil corporations, all of the wheat and corn is controlled by two and one in Europe others are general motors, ford ...so what is my opinion....prices are low therefore all wages are low....it sucks ....as we head for third world status.. |

I think it used to be better when Sam was alive. They had American made clothes and other articles. Now you can't even get fresh cut meats. It is all prepackaged. I still go there for a lot of things though. It is the nearest store to my house that Carry's most of the things that I need. I find that their pharmacy is cheaper than most. I need lots of meds so it is cheaper and most convenient for me. |

I hate it! Walmart gives me a headache... |
|

They call me ... Trixie.

I won't shop there - I signed a petition. They treat their workers horribly and fire people who talk union. They also refuse to stop selling products that contain illegal whale oil from Japan. They're trying to take over the world. |

It's an ok company to work for as long as you don't go into management. It is very stressful and they could care less about you and your family. As long as you are an hourly associate, then you are fine. Now shopping there is ok except for the loooooong lines. I thought it was the wal-mart that I worked at, but it's at allof them. They need to step up and take care of their people and they will take care of them. |
