Food poisoning...you won't be expected to go to a doctor, you won't have to take any prescribed medication, and it's not odd for the illness to last only a day (so it won't look wierd when you come in the next day completely healthy). The symptoms are also kind of gross, so your boss will actually want you to stay home.
there's always the good old fashioned flu--headache, sore throat, cough, just in general feeling like crap--don't forget to sound like crap when on the phone--tired, stopped up, couldn't hurt to cough once or twice.
