I highly recommend you rent the video, "Wal-Mart - The High Cost of Low Prices." It can probably be found at your local library. Everything you need to know is in there.

A major company like Wal-Mart bulk buying at a cheaper rate than a small business can afford to undercut their local small business competitors until they go out of business into bankruptcy! Thus throwing people out of a job! Where upon they adjust their prices back up to the market rate, and in some cases beyond! It happens all over! K-Mart, Woolworth's, Myers. Have a great day. |

honestly,wal-mart used to be wonderful. after SAM Walton (the guy who invented the franchise) died everything went horrible. i used to work there, and i realized how much things were not going the way an honest man like SAM would do it. there open on thanksgiving till 5pm, and they are open on Christmas till 2pm. they have turned into blood sucking jerks! they make the employees work on gods day, all for a dollar more pay. up here they take away our bonuses for petty crap. they buy things in big quantities and only giving the merchants a very small amount of money. also they have special workers that go store to store comparing prices so that no matter how low everyones prices go they will always have them beat. i know, i was one of there special shoppers once. |

If Wal-Mart continues on its present course, it will soon go the way of K-Mart and California's Fedco. It continues to open more and more stores while it cannot even keep the ones it has properly stocked. It's actually cheaper to buy elsewhere in the first place than to have to make several trips back and forth to get the item(s) you want or need. It's certainly not a good investment for investors in the short run. I'm not a good Wal-Mart fan. |

Mainly to specialty stores, like bicycle shops, gunstores, flower shops, card shops. Walmart sells the same item for less money, but the specialty stores service what they sell. If you wonder why it cost so much to get things repaired, that's why. |
