It has already been proven that Wal-Marts business practices are unfair and unethical. The question therefore is not bias.
Aside from the countless reports and documentation floating around in the public arena describing Walmart practices.
The government itself has issued mandates to walmart to change their insurance coverage practices,because of the enormous burden walmart employees have become on the government assistance programs.
Recently Walmart has been pinpointed by presidential candidates as the primary influence to the squashing of the container inspection bill....and now we are seeing the effects of this decision, with all the contaminated items imported from China being sold in wal-mart stores.
so, I would have to say that the description of "Un-American" is painfully accurate.
If it were my decision...I would shut them down, and put all the CEO's in prison for treason.
Wal-mart executives, in the pursuit of money have compromised both the safety and economy of our country. |

i avoid going there at all costs unless there is absolutely no other option. They have a lot of skeletons in the closet that are slowly being exposed. Stay tuned. |

I'm not allowed to shop there or at Sam's Club since they're anti-union.
I think their buying practices contribute to economic hardships on manufacturers, ultimately leading to interference with wage growth, and causing job-cutting. |

This is a fairly biased question, as you alter what could be a rather decent question by adding in your own personal beliefs. You infer that everyone believes that wal'mart has "Un-American" business practices. A much better question could be, "Do you believe Wal-Mart has "Un-American" business practices, and why?" or even better, "What are your opinions regarding Wal-Mart's business practices?" |

I am appalled at how Wal-Mart works and everything is made elsewhere. It is sad knowing about little kids in sweat shops or even adults for that matter. It's really sad that many of us are forced to shop there due to their cheap prices. Many could not afford to shop elsewhere. I have been there & it SUX! Shopping at the only place I could afford & knowing people are suffering because of it tears me up inside. I also am aware of the fact that they treat their employees like crap and the turn over is outrageous! Maybe it because Wal-Mart is a Republican run company and Costco is a Democrat store. Sounds weird, but I watched news coverage about this 2005 & early last year. I do know Costco gives good benefits & have happier employees. How sad to shop at Wal-Mart to save money at some poor, starving person's expense. K-Mart is another story since they screwed over my husband after downsizing, laying him off & hiring new employees at minimum wage. We have pretty much boycotted K-Mart & since I recently found out Target is the place to go, that's where I shop. It's a bit more than the other 2 mentioned, but so many things are made in the USA. If I go discount, than it's Target for me. If I have to shop Wal-Mart because it's all I can afford, I feel badly & pray this BS ends & soon!!! |
