I've heard that some very high-end designer bags are Made in China by workers getting paid close to nothing...while they charge you here hundreds time as much...
Basically...90% of the bag is made in China...and than a small portion...perhaps the hardware such as the zipper...or rivets...are made in the country of origin...so that it justifies the stamp of "Made in France" or "Made in Italy" they put on the bag...

Almost all of them. Victoria's Secret is just one example. A lot of their clothes are made in Vietnam. I usually look at the tags of all my clothes when I buy them to see where they're made and I cannot remember one item of clothing in a long time that said "Made in the USA." Look at most of the non-clothing items that you purchase as well and you'll see that 90% of them (probably more) are made in China. And if you want one more interesting tidbit of information...I was in a store recently that sold a lot of "patriotic" items such as shirts, bags, umbrellas, etc and all of the tags said "Made in China." I thought that was pretty ironic. Guess companies think nobody notices where products are made. But I always look, just because I'm curious.
