There is no question in my mind, or in the mind of MSN voters: Sprint wins hands down as the worst customer service operation!
Gypsy Girl: My son just had a similar experience with Best Buy. He had to go through the sales people and two managers before getting to the store manager. The sales person had sold him the basic edition of a game and the wrong expansion (didn't work). It was a nightmare, but in the end, the manager relented and got him the right expansion.
He was even told that it's a Federal Law that they can't take back opened software! OMG ... did they really think that would work? |

For me, it's a tie between the local McDonald whom always tries to short your order in the driveway and even had the gall to say my wife was lying about it once, and Boostmobile. Boost's service and products are fine, but their customer service is lacking, seems incompetent and lacks the tools and empowerment to get a problem taken care of. |

Dominoes Pizza. They were more than 2 HOURS late so I called to cancel the order and they got upset. I called back the next day to speak to the manager in an attempt to correct the situation and maybe try to order a pizza and the manager HUNG UP on me! I now boycott them! |

Best Buy - They wouldn't take back a defective dvd because it was opened and they didn't have the same title to exchange it. They wouldn't even try to find out when they would be getting more of that title in or if more copies had even been ordered. They wouldn't allow an exchange for a different title either. |

PBTeen. I had a gift card and they said I would have to pay them with my credit card (my parents) and then in 2 months they would reimburse me(my parents)! We turned the gift card into cash and shopped somewhere else! |

BellSouth (the new AT&T). Both their land-line and cellular support are wretched.
That, and, pretty much any company that outsources their support. Reps are often minimally trained, or not trained at all. I can read from a queue card, and have read all of the FAQ's, etc before I call. So, it's annoying when someone is reading from the same FAQ I just read when I call with a problem, even after I've explained everything that I've tried and it matches the FAQ. Once the FAQ doesn't do the trick, I have to wait to be transferred to another group or wait for a callback. It's a pain. |

Any government service. Sure, it's not a 'company' -- boy, if it were, some of these customer service reps would be fired the first day. |

Smith & Wesson. I ordered something online that arrived with defects and they failed to even acknowledge that the item I purchased had been abused. |
