Right now, Exxon at 355B is edging out GE at 345B. You can use Yahoo's stock screener to get a general idea of the top ones in terms of market cap.

I retrieved all data from the yahoo finance site by looking at the market capitalization (market cap). The market capitalization is the stock price multiplied by the amount of shares outstanding. The market cap is the company's value as determined by the market.
If you want to look up a company's value go to Yahoo's Finance site (Finance link on yahoo's homepage).Type the companies stock symbol in the quote space and hit go. Then look at the market cap number. Of course in order to do this you need to know the company's stock symbol. Stock symbols can be found by using symbol look up link. This is where it can get tricky. Many companies return multiple symbols when using the symbol look up. Some of these symbols are for debt, options, etc. of that company. For example type in general motors (GM) and you get a whole list of symbols for that company, but the correct symbol is GM.
