What do nonprofit org do with any profit?

PiggiePants
Excess revenue is not actually considered profit. Any excess revenue after paying operational costs and funding programs is either banked for interest or invested to serve as a long term source of revenue for the organization's efforts.

magemaster
uhhhhhhh make there org better. or give it back. Or donate it

They can keep so much in overflow (depends on state, size etc). Employee raises, upgrade stuff etc..

E-dot
It goes back into the organization, as opposed to a for-profit organization, where the profit goes to shareholders or owners. Being non-profit does not mean that the organization can not make a profit.

The Wave
Non-profit means there isn't an "owner" earning money off the business. It makes money to pay the staff, and sustain the business.
