defleppard80'srock | What do you do when you are scammed by a horrible company such as ENTERTAINMENT WORK.COM? |
I signed up for a 14 day free trial from this website, www.entertainmentwork.com, and they charged me 5 bucks for this little book, so I said fine. Then, after cruising around on the website I decided it looked like something I didn't want, so I decided to cancel my account. The customer rep. told me I couldn't cancel until a specific day. So I called back that day to cancel. The rep. told me that I had to return my book by 7 days or they would charge me 14.95, not including the shipping.
This is where it goes crazy. I returned it to them the next day through UPS. Three days later, I get an e-mail from them telling me about "new casting opportunities" in the area, so i was confused and thought my cancellation didn't go through. I clicked the link in the e-mail to the website, and I saw I could still log on, so I called them the next day. The company charged me $38.80 for LOGGING ON! I asked to speak to a supervisor and the rep refused. She then told me what I did was FRAUD?? Additional Details I looked in the terms and conditions...there is nothing that says you get charged once you ALREADY CANCEL. Second, no one warned me about it when I was cancelling...you know.."don't log on or this will happen." Third, I never used the service and don't plan on it, yet they are charging me for it. Fourth, it was an unauthorized charge. Fifth, I have never been to a site where once I cancel you can log back on without it saying invalid or will you like to return? Lastly, I got an e-mail three days after enticing me to return, and the only reason I clicked the link was to MAKE SURE I was even canceled..not to rack up a hefty fee! |
