What do you do when your boss?
calls you into his office to advise you that the company that hosts the server for your company is going to shut it down for good on Friday? This is a server that we started using in July and now it's getting shut down...should I start looking for a new job?????
It could be an issue with the other company and not your own in which case there is nothing to worry about, other than finding a new server!
If it is an issue with your company not paying its bills then I would say definitely start worrying and looking for another job. Bad cash flow is the biggest killer of businesses, it doesn't matter how many assets they have if they do not have enough liquid equity and cannot pay their bills then they are in trouble.

naturally, u have to look for another job but don't forget to take back-up of your files
Canadian Kim
The server runs the computer network. It shouldn't affect your job as such. I would ask your boss, just to be sure.
BITE ME!!!
YES IT SOUND LIKE A GOOD IDEA. U SHOULD ALWAYS KEP UR OPTIONS OPEN

Save any data files that you have stored on the server to your local Hard disk drive, and make a backup or two just in cases.

Yes, you should start looking for a new job. If they have no server, they have no way to run the systems that you're currently using.
