I expect someone to say hello when approached, be kind with me and know their stuff so that they can relay it to me so that I understand. OMG I can't believe how bad customer service is out there sometimes... when I even go to a store like Walmart, they have these young people working that won't even say hello or anything, they just tell you how much money they want and that's it, no conversation, no thank you, nothing... for pete sake can't everyone just be nice to everyone... if you're not happy in your job, get out, otherwise be friendly... that is how to be a great customer service rep!! :o) |

From which side? I give as much information/service as I can when I'm the one serving. I expect no less when I'm the customer. A smile and warm greeting never hurt and it's always nice to hear "Thank you, we appreciate your business" |

LOL.. Well, I don't expect Wal-mart employees to be all happy with their jobs. But I expect anyone in customer service to do what they can do to help the customer without the customer having to get upset and generally force the customer service person to take care of them.
That seems to be the trend these days, if someone doesn't get pissed then they get hosed on the customer service. |

First, this is a big problem. Customer service has gone downhill fast. I expect a knowledgeable person behind the desk and one who is decent enough to tell you that they may not know but will find someone who can help you. One who speaks and understands English well enough to communicate. I don't mind accents, I do mind having to translate. I am not going to go over to India or the Philippines and get a service rep job. It is customer service, it is for customer's. Instead we as the customers try to make it easier on the rep's. And the kids nowadays working are so disrespectful and have such attitudes it is so hard to deal with them. But I suppose it goes both ways. |
