What do you feel an employer ownes an employee?

Your spelling of ownes makes me wonder what your real question is. I assume it is owes.

1. A Salary for labor perform.
2. Whatever else is required by state and federal law.

I've got all the answers....
When you apply for a job...or are "choosen", by higher ups, or however it's done...most jobs are outlined what is expected, and what's the "reward". For example...if you come to ABC Gas Station, and take people's money at the register, for every hour you do this satisfactorily, we will pay you 15 dollars an hour, less any taxes or other forced by the gov't payments, in a check, at the end of the week. If you work for us for 2 years, we will pay you for one week of vacation, 40 hours @ rate of pay.

Lots of people think companies "owe" them something. Really, it just comes down pay and safe working enviornment. But any company can't be expected to forsee every single thing.

More Lies & More Smoke Screens
You are considered an "Employee At Will" In other words, an employer can treat you like they own you & if you don't like it you are more than welcome to go elsewhere...
Many employers have no loyalty to their emplyees anymore, but they expect loyalty from the employees.
Many employers figure they can crap all over you & if you leave, no skin off their teeth, they just get someone else.....
Sad but true...

Employer doesn't own the employee. Employer has the right to get the work done from the employee and pay him the due in the form of compensation for the services rendered. Employer can only demand work from him during the emplyment tenure and the timings specified in the employment contract. Employer doesn't have any right to get into the personal life of the employee by disturbing him while he is away from work, unless and until the employee agrees to it.

Whatever is required by law or contract, written or implied. And thats what the employee owes the employer, Nothing more nothing less.

Gem
An employer owes an employee the promised pay and any other promised benefit. And things can change.

That's it.
