I personally do not feel sorry for these people who have taken advantage of us. They need competition. We need other forms of energy to compete with them. Solar, nuclear, natural gas. Maybe we are already heading in the alternative energy direction. I hope. Additional Details I am not happy about it and will plan on using even less gas.
I think that they are cutting production solely to bring the price back up again... they must be hoping to get yet MORE record profits AGAIN!!

I think they are just as greedy as everybody else in the petroleum business, if not much more so. And now they are going to actually air condition a beach (outdoors, of course) in Dubai. And they have the nerve to call America decadent. Air conditioning a beach must be awfully expensive and never would have occurred to us. Reasonable prices don't mean a thing to them, so they are going to do their utmost to make sure we keep paying $4 a gallon.

Obviously they're cutting production to bring the price back up... that's what a cartel does. There's also a reason that's illegal here in the U.S.
Personally, I hope they cut production and the price doesn't increase at all. That will put even less money in their pockets than they were making before the cut. Judging by the way oil futures reacted on the market this morning after the announcement, I don't think it's too farfetched of an idea.

They are cutting so the price will go up. My p[ay won't go up to match. So, of course I am not happy.
