That is not the normal way that a Wal Mart store is run. Setting a time limit to get your work done, that doesn't make a lot of sense, how do you set a time limit on say a cashier? Sounds like maybe you should find another job. A large store like that being short handed will hurt the store.

I don't think the store would be as efficient as other stores. I think the concept of Walmart is to minimize expenses to keep the prices low. It'll make more sense to you if you were the Accountant of the store.

Walmart cannot pay out more than 6% of their gross sales for salaries. The manager gets into big trouble if they do. You are being asked to do more because the manager doesn't have the budget to hire more employees. Just a sign of the times.l
