No, but I do think that the manufacturers are so pressed by walmart to make reductions in their products that quality is starting to come into question.
Example a major branded pair of jeans that I purchased from Walmart, has much less thickness of fabric, than purchasing from the major brand's outlet store, by a lot too.
I can tell a pair of walmart jeans, over jeans purchased from the outlet, as the fabric is almost twice as thick, but the price is only 1.5 times more ($30 compared to $45) |

Low prices but low quality, in many cases.
They're hard on their suppliers and they're hard on their employees. |

I think they are gonna put theirselves out of business. They are coming up everywhere and too close together-so they are in competition with each other-I don't know if anyone remembers or even knows about the grocery chain winn dixie-anyway it done the same thing was real big and killed theirselves with the greed. So Sam's plan is gonna go down the drain. |

too big, too crowded, can't ask an employee a question because they don't know anything 9 times out of 10. Was in there a couple of times a few years ago. Never going there again. I noticed from the ads that a lot of their prices are the same or higher than our local drug store on things like shampoo and such. Why bother? |

I think that if they offered health insurance and would treat their workers better, they would be great. |

WalMart is synonymous with trash. Their goods are trash, many of their customers are trash, and they are trashing the economy. In a sense I feel sorry for those who are stuck working there, but in many places there are other jobs available in the local area. Get out while you can, work somewhere where you are appreciated.
I do not shop at WalMart. Ever. I encourage my friends and family to do the same. I also ask that people not shop at WalMart if they are gift shopping for me - I refuse to support their underhanded business practices, directly or indirectly.
Even for those who only care about themselves, and couldn't care less about the economy because they think it doesn't affect them, they should consider how much the trade deficit is climbing.
Manufacturing jobs are traditionally one of the few low-skill jobs available that pays well. Those jobs are disapearing fast, due to Walmart and the way they have affected business practices in North America. Would you prefer to have these former plant workers on welfare, living off YOUR dollar?
Because that is what you are contributing to, by shopping at Walmart. That dollar you save today will cost you two dollars in taxes later on.

I think the clothes that they carry are crap! If you shop around and watch for sales any other store can compete with Wally World. The Super store use to have fairly reasonable prices on groceries. Now the quality is poor, and prices are just as high if not higher than any other grocery store. No point in making a trip there to shop.
I use to do all my grandchildren's Christmas shopping by putting hundreds of dollars on lay-away. Of which by the way I have 11. Wal-marts theory is if they don't offer lay-away people will buy gift cards or use credit cards. Neither are my idea of Christmas, since I don't want to be paying for Christmas in June, I never use my credit cards! So, since they ended that last year, I haven't spent $10 @ Wally World. Now I watch the sales papers and shop elsewhere. Not only that Target & Khol's have 10 times the quality clothes that Wal-mart offers. Target just moved in across the street from the Super Center in our area, you can definitely see the difference in Wal-marts parking lot! I would love to see them have to start closing some locations down! |

Walmarts are cheap, so when ever I go there to get specific items theyre usually not there because they ran out. So, I end up going to Target, which I like better anyway!
Also, since they're so anti-union I shouldnt be shopping there because I'm in a union.
They once closed down a Walmart after the employees made it union! |

Hello,
Do not know about seconds.
However every time a walmart moves in it closes down many other stores.
We do not have one here. So IF we do go to one we have to drive to get there. |
