Here's what happened: It was in suburban New York. People broke the doors open and came rushing in. The victim was a 34-year-old man, and he was trampled to death. Some other store workers were injured.
I think this is a terrible tragedy. I love a bargain as much as everyone else, but people, please remember that this is only shopping! We're supposed to be entering a season of peace and joy.

it shows that people are just stupid, rude, inconsiderate and moronic when they try to shop. They care about nothing but themselves and what they want. My heart goes out to that guy's family. Its a tragedy that should never have happened. Walmart needs to handle crowds a little better and I sincerely hope that the guys family sues the hell out of walmart.

I think people are disgusting and pathetic and greedy. I feel so bad for him.
They should go through all WalMarts security videos and arrest all the people involved.
For those who didn't see, a WalMart store opened up for Black Friday shopping and the mob of customers wound up killing an employee in the chaos, I think he got squashed or knocked down or something? Then as he was dead/dying and the paramedics were trying to save him they just went on with their shopping until WalMart closed the store.
Also his family should sue the hell out of WalMart. Poor guy:( |

it infuriates me that people are so greedy and so obsessed with saving a few bucks that they would trample a man to death and not even notice. what's more disturbing is that people probably noticed and not one bothered to do anything. i'd like to know what's happened to common decency. |

I think they should review those surv. video and at least try to see who's people were so that they could be charged. Because they couldn't be patient enough to get a tv or a camera that they didn't care. I bet they are home fine and dandy with the gifts they bought and not caring about what they did. |

I think that the Walmart employee's death due to the massive mob of over 200 people trampling is nothing short of a Tradjedy!!! It's a shame that people become so focused upon thier own wants that they dont take in to consideration the feelings or safety of others!What is Walmart going to have to do?, post armed guards on this particular day to control the mobs? I really hope that each and every one of those people that were in that mob feels the pain of that worker's family and the loss that family now has to endure! It saddens me and enragwes me at the same time to think our society has degraded to that level of uncaring especially during the approaching holiday. |

Yes it DID happen and a very sad state of affairs. There is no bargain in the world worth trampling another human being to death. Every shopper who did not STOP to help that individual is responsible for his/her death. Walmart was right to close its doors as a results. Greed prevailed in this case. |

i don't go outside on black friday. black friday is bad, not good. Loud, busy, long lines, and not worth it.
