It could mean millions of things, you should give some context here :) But I'm guessing you mean in business terms... it is a way to list a private business and more recognizable business. For example, Joes Food, DBA Subway. For tax purposes, Joe's Food is probably a sub S corporation, where he got a franchise right to DO BUSINESS AS Subway. |

It could be anything! Look these up in a large dictionary. Many identical abbreviations are used in different fields of study, I hate them. I always encourage others to use the proper terms. AM stands for Anti-Meridian (Morning) but AM has more meanings. I hate ambiguiity in terminology. I wish people would stop it. LCD=liquid crystal display. Look some of these up, then use the full term when communicating to others, they wll appreciate it. Widershins is an English term meaning anti-clockwise. !!!! |
