I just got a job at JJB sports and i was just wondering what the JJB stands for because i know its not the owners initials. And what does the JD stand for in JD sports?
I make the assumption you refer to JJB as the sports and shoes retailers. Both cases are to do with the names of the founders of the companies. I cant remember what they stand for exactly but heres what I know:
JJ Brothers Sports
JD = John D Sports
Your manager should be able to 'remind you of the name of the founders' as its something you should have found out before interview in case you were asked, "What do you know about our company"
hothead
jumbo jet bonanza

The name JJB stems from the original owner of the first JJB store - JJ Broughton.
