National Association. There are a few different ways that banks can be charetered. They can be federally chartered national banks, which have the intials NA after the name. They can be federally chartered savings banks, which have the initials FSB after the name. Or they can be state chartered banks, which many times lack the initals after them.
There used to be differences between being a federal national bank and being a federal savings bank. Modern statutes have eliminated most of the differences.
