shrugs..ive also had a friend tell me that home depot pays its cashiers more...but it also depends on the area ..for instance cashiers in CA would get paid more then cashiers in LA because of the difference in cost of living...its a hard job that requires alot of patience and a lack of respect from some customers,and is hard on the back.but its an okay job...

I actually worked there for a few months. Your pay depends on your experience and also you have to take like a test on the computer with different types of questions about customer service and so on...which determines your pay. Also after 90 days you are eligible for a raise which depends on your speed and a cashier and your attendance.

Pretty decent can mean different things for different people. Minimum wage is most likely the pay... And maybe a little bit more after a certain years, experience, and after raises.
