British Gas Took One Year to rectify my Gas bill and I rang them over 50 times and complained to the watchdog.
They sent me bills for people that didn't live in the house, once sent me a bill for £15,000 for a company.
They have lost over 1 million customers.
I hate this awful company totally useless.
All the numbers are high rate so you have to pat to complain.
What problems have you experienced and how did you get them sorted?

I'm not happy with them,i was with them for both my gas and electric,but i wanted to change them both to another supplier,but they only let me change my electric,twice tried and failed! Their reason, i owe them money,even though it's pre-pay,and the guy who's company i wanted to change to had a look too,and he said there was nothing owing.. |

apart from load of nice talk on telephone nothing ..... was told my gas bill would get smaller but it hasn't it got really big ...and I'm using less hate lies don't you ...haven't the " energy " ....to complain |

they sent me a bill over one year after we left they hounded us and threatend us with court action i could not get any sense out of them just some parrots rhyming off the same answer over and over again absolutely useless will never go back |

British gas had the monopoly when i was a child and my parents struggled to find a shilling (5p) for the meter, we were cut off several times, now it is PAY BACK TIME. |

I one of the lucky ones that don't use gas, as I have oil heating but my mother has had nothing but problems with them. She is recently widowed and her last gas bill was almost 3 times her usual ones, and trying to get them to look into it has been a nightmare, she has been fobbed off left, right and centre, and on more than one occasion she has had phone calls asking for her husband to come to the phone in regards to the outstanding amount, and they had already been informed my myself and rather abruptly by my brother of the circumstances. She is now in the process of changing suppliers. |

i had problem with them ages ago, but here's a funny story of one of my mate, he had a bill of £632 few weeks ago, not only he isn't with British gas, but his gas meter is a "pre pay, or pay as you go"!!!!! |
