ƒαηтαѕтι¢ ☞CAT☜ | What has happened to the Royal Mail? |
Today, I heard something being delivered through my letter box, assuming it was a leaflet or letter I got off my chair and went to the door, and surprise surprise it's a "Sorry you were out" red card.
I live in a flat next to stairs, and the Post-person didn't come back when I shouted excuse me. This is the second time. The first time around three months ago, the exact same thing happened and I telephoned the local delivery office and asked to speak to the manager who assured me that he would have a word with the Postman involved. Well it's happened again, and after looking through several forums, it seems they're making a habit of doing this nationwide.
I just wonder if they're creating extra work for themselves for overtime or are they hoping to proffit from the £1.50 collect at your local Post Office fee. Should I call the delivery manager, or customer service. Who is likely to listen? |

Talk to customer service and write a letter to both your local paper and national papers like The Sun or Daily Mirror - they love to kick the Post Office! |

Many times royal mail have manpower shortages and they use temps to deliver stuff.
These people however haven't got the training etc to handle parcels or high importance letters so in the depot they never get the parcels but the little red notices only.
So they walk around with the sheets and drop them in but they never had the parcels with them, so they don't bother using the doorbell just drop the notice in, and you can collect your stuff at the depot.
Answering your question: you can call whoever you want, it won't help. This process is designed this way, so if there is a temp or a trainee postie at the time you should get a parcel or an important letter they will never have it with them but the little red notice. This is specifically designed this way to avoid untrusted, 2days in the postal service untrained temps to lose, steal or deliver your valued parcel to the wrong place due to lack of skill. |

Are you sure you did not miss the postman knocking, i am a postman and i have had this complaint a few times and i always knock, sometimes people do not hear, they may be in the loo or have the telly on loud, but the simple thing to do is complain about the postman. Carrying between 7-10 pouches of mail weighing 16kg every day we want to deliver as many items as we can as we have to carry them round if we don't and then go back to the office or find a post office. I am not saying some rouge employees don't take short cuts but the majority of us don't we just want to do our jobs well and provide a good service for our customers, sometime people just don't hear the knock or we ring the bell and it is not working. |

The Royal Mail is like the rest of Britain, broken down and corrupt. My mail delivery varies from 10am to 6.30pm. I have complained on number of occasions, the answer was we are fulfilling our legal minimum requirement as laid down in the conditions of our license. Not ok we have a disgruntled customer how can we resolve the situation? But we are doing the minimum, and you can whistle sweet dixy! JUst like the rest od England, the NHS, the MPs. I said why can the Royal Mail, deliver early on Saturday and Friday (my Postman is a Muslim) so gets his rounds done so he can attend Friday prayers at the Mosque. SO it can be done. Just like all this week. I have had my Postman, deliver before, 9.30am why? because he wants to get home before the World Cup starts! Then they give you a lot of BS about the logisitcs. Time to move. |
