my experience with best buy has been really good. they were very knowledgeable about the things I asked them. I went in there for a mouse and anti virus software for my lap top. I don't really know that much about anti virus so I asked for help and the explained everything to me. their staff is very kind and even though it is kind of expensive I feel like the staff is why I would shop there again. |

Badddddddddd, my wife purchased a software product that she thought I needed, it was not what I wanted, I took it back to customer services, the girl at the counter open the package looked in it and said we cant take this back, its been open, the package was not open till she did it, they refused to return my money, I will never buy anything again from them |

i like it...it's always organized...and always clean...lately the service has been getting better...more easier to find someone if i needed help...and the people know their stuff...unlike circuit city...where they read the card...but yeah sometimes i go to circuit city and get the stuff there...usually the cameras are a little bit cheaper...but for my DVDs and video games i just go to Best Buy OH! and when your in line at the register there and it's long they find more people...where as Circuit City could give a rats behind!! and the CDs and Video Games and DVDs are always unorganized |

I love Best Buy. They have good prices and a great selection. Of course, you can find better prices online, or at Frys, but you have to decide whether the service and location is important.
I can see lots of new stuff there, and then check out what I want in other places to see if I'm really getting a good price.
At least in California, they are close by, and if I see what I want, I can have it now. That's worth something to me. I also like ordering on line and then picking up at the closest store!
And probably not a bad long term stock buy either. |

Be careful of who you talk to. More often than not, the sales associate's ego is more expansive than their technical knowledge, especially when it comes to computers.
I am such a geek that I have overheard the SA incorreclty inform a customer, only to walk over and interrupt to correctly inform the customer, as well as giving them a reference to my statement so they can discover it themselves. |

Their okay if your searching for electronics and maybe a washer and dryer. Then again Fry's Electronics tends to have a wider selection of Computers, Toasters, and other appliances.
I guess I would go to Best Buys if I were buying a Digital Camera, Big Screen TV, or Washers and Dryers, and needed more than one of the thing at a time. IE A waster and a TV in the same visit instead of going to two specialized stores. |

It depends on what you mean by that. If you mean by customer service its ok. Prices are a bit high for electronics. If you want to get electronics go to newegg.com and search for anything you want and pretty much all the basic stuff should be there you can save like a few hundred to a few dollars there. |

They know nothing, and price their items too high. It's better to do research on what you're buying (if applicable) then to ask them. |
