The last available profit number is from 12/31/06: $3.544 billion up 37% from $2.602 billion in 2005, and up nearly 300% from just $893 million in 2002 (the first full calendar year after 9/11/01).
Most of MCD's new profits are coming from Asia, the fastest growing business region in the world right now, specifically China, where they plan to open 100 new drive-thru locations.
