If you're a female, the minimum you will get at Wal Mart is oppression. You might make a few bucks in the process, and deal with crap co-workers and crappier customers to boot.
My advice: stay in school and learn a trade so you don't have to work at Hell Mart. |

There is a Federal Minimum Wage that applies to ALL states (currently $5.85/hour) but each state can set their own minimum wage above the Federal minimum. California is currently $7.50/hour. It goes up to $8/hour in January '08. |

considering California's minimum wage will increase to $8 at the end of the year, it has to be at least that by then. Right now it's probably around $7.50 or so. |
