A call center is basically a place where the majority of the employees take call after call all day for the company they work for. Whenever you call a big company, be it AOL, Sprint, Honda, you're speaking to someone in a call center. There are millions of phone lines and your call is routed to the first available representative. I've worked in a variety of call centers myself. The most fulfilling and lucrative way to survive is to go into business for yourself. You should check out my web site: www.5LINX.net/cnixon. In today marketplace larger companies are outsourcing certain call services. A call center can answer the phone for several companies using different income calls methods. Like a catalog might have an 800 consumers can call in a place orders, that same call center may also handle calls for 2 or 3 other companies. Depending on the line that the consumers can in on then they answer the phone with the name of the company depending on the line they call in on. These call centers can even be out of the country. Outsourcing is proven to save money for the companies that use, thereby keeping prices down for consumers. Hope this helps! |
