What is an unethical business issue regarding corporations?
Can you think of anything besides deceitfulness, globalization, or child labor?

Feeling Mutual
By definition, an unethical business practice is:

"Promising something that you cannot deliver."

This covers deceitfulness, but narrows it down. You can tell if a business is unethical if they promise something and do not deliver.

I am not sure what you mean by globalization, not all international companies are unethical.

Child labor is not an unethical business practice, as hard work is good for children. Abusing child labor for the purpose of making a profit is illegal, not just unethical. Child labor laws vary with the state and local area.

Newspapers are exempt from child labor laws, and have children deliver newspapers all the time.

To sum it up in one word, I believe the main unethical business issue is "discrimination". I still see people getting treated unfairly and vice versa, due to looks, height, and educational status.

I hope this answers your question.

Take the case of Wall Mart their philosophy is every day low prices and for this they are importing a lot of items frm China sure they are with their phlosophy and the customers will have it cheap. But think abt what it will do to the American producers of the product They cannot price it low and hence will perish. This is one unethical practise.

One of the lergest semi conductor manufactorers in the world Samsung,Hynix,Infineon have joined togrther as a consortium to regulate the price of this. This is another excample

War profiteering is pretty unethical and doesn't fall under the category of deceitfulness, globalization or child labor. The best example of this is Halliburton. They are in a practice of obtaining no bid contracts in order to re-construct Iraq, however, the no-bid portion and extreme profit making, make it unethical -- during a time of war. No one should be making a profit off the war. Halliburton should be paid for their services at cost -- no more.
