Asset management falls into the department that usually handle resources of a company, i.e finances, machineries & equipment, materials & tools but specifically no sole department handles it alone. It means management of asset and its proper allocation.

I dont know mch about accounts and departments related to it

But asset management is.......to manage your assets in such a way that your assets are maximumly saved from taxes etc. and how to show them in balance sheets and what assets you should keep and where and how. well i dontk now anything more about it.
