Get DSL and put up a wireless router (they can be had for $40).
I didn't even know wireless internet was still offered in places with DSL capability.

DSL is a high speed phone connection to the internet. You have a choice of either using a cable connected directly to your computer or using a wireless router/wireless card to get out to the internet. I find wireless to be much faster and convenient. I have a laptop and can walk around anywhere in my house and have access to the internet.

We have both....not really had any trouble with ether. You can hook dsl..to wireless router...have both......freedom to move around. True wireless..like sat dish..has higher downloads speeds.And you have to be a no more than a couple miles from the source.
.but you pay dearly for it!.(at least around here)
