Why....what did you do? Your company should have their policy posted in a very public area, fax room, employee/staff break room. The company's policy and definition of improper conduct in the work environment should also be in your employee handbook. |

Anything that would cause another work member to feel uncomfortable could be considered harrasment. Even if your actions were not directed towards said workmate, they can still be considered harassment. |

Sexual harrassment and hostile workplace environment rules say that you basically cannot do or say anything that could be deemed offensive. You basically don't want to make any remarks that could be seen as sexual, discriminatory, off-color or what have you. Also, its a no-no to do or say anything to anyone that can be seen as disrespectful or unprofessional. I used to work in the HR department for a big bank and that's pretty much it. Don't even joke about sex or who is fat or ugly in the office, but it WILL get around. |
