it is a step ahead of BPO. it involves use of data and processing of the same in a more user friendly format! It requires more skilled people than u normally employ for BPOs. The trend today is not only for basic data entry operations but more of value added services! KPO is a part of it considering the advantage of time zones and cost factor!

It means knowledge process outsourcing. In KPO normally the knowledge about taxation, local laws, medical etc is outsourced. It cab be called a step ahead of normal BPO. |
