What is meant by laissez-faire management?
Please help me understand?

Laissez-faire simply means: a policy or attitude of letting things take their own course, without interfering.

When it comes to economics and management, it means: abstention from governments from interfering in the workings of the free market.

This means that the government or management abstains from interfering with the free market or business of trade.

I hope this helped :)

It means "let the buyer beware". It is the concept that each person is responsible for determining the value of what he is buying himself. If he pays more for something than it is worth, then he did not properly study the matter. He is at fault, not the seller.

its a type of government.
it means that the government can't interfere with businesses.
for example, if there is a big business with child labor and the government is run in a laissez-faire way, the government can't do anythign about the child labor, only the company can.

Leave it for management to do

Coming from the french translating literally as "leave-do management"

This is the school of thought that if you leave everything to itself without intefeering too much, it should sort itself out.

well i kno laissez-faire means hands off

Rebecca R
laissez-faire means let it be - don't interfere. It is the belief that if you leave things alone they will sort themselves out without interfering with them.

hockeygirl
it is being pretty lax in reinforcing its policies

Let the workers make independent decisions without micro managing. However, the results are still accounted for!
