What is "inbound" in call center?

Paul Rules
one that accepts and doesnt make calls.

eg

Inbound - Companies that advertise on TV, in papers, etc. You call them for a service. Or things like support lines, porno lines, etc

Outbound - Cold callers (double glazing, etc) that call you out of the blue to sell things

People ringing in, as opposed to outbound, you ringing out.

Just Asking?!?!
When callers call in.
You as the operator in the call center recieve calls. Like when you call the cable company.

An 'incoming' call !

gaiagurl
Means customers will call you - not you having to call them,

londonhawk
Phone calls coming in. You answer phones in a call center ... outbound means you call people from a call center ...

hope this helps :)
