Hello everyone | What is the average work hour per week in the US? |
what is the average work hour per week in the US?
what percentage of companies do you think require their employees to work on weekends? |
|

it just depends on the job you get, if it requires any type of education or major skills most companies dont not require you to work weekends while your working a 40-50 hour week. now if you work at a fast food place or retail store you will most likey work weekends, and work anywhere between 15-30 hours depending on how many hours the company has to give to their employees. most americans probably work weekends, the ones that get lucky, stay in school, or have a huge talent are the ones that get the weekends off. |

40 is standard but it depends on your job, after 40 hours you get overtime.
Depends on your job as well if you have to work weekends. If you are in retail, then yes you will work weekends. Everything is open 7 days a week for the most part.
If you are in banking or have a business job, then its usually just weekdays.
If you are paid salary plan to work more then 40 hours a week but you wont be paid extra. |

Most of us work about 40 hours a week. Very few companies require weekend work. In retail and customer support, it is common though. |

35 hours is the average. Most companys work with a budget, like myself. I work 39 hours a week due to a budget we have with the company til the business picks up then I will get 40. Most companys work 7 days on a rotating schedule. |

In the USA, an employee is considered to be a permanent employee if he/she works 32 to 40 hours a week. Depending on your profession or trade, education and hands on experience you can make from $6.50 (min) to no limits per hour. This is a 24/7 economy. 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is people doing any kind of jobs around the clock and mostly on weekends. So yes, you will probably will work on weekends. |
