What is the difference between a company, a corporation and an organization?

Raindrops On Roses 8806
Actually, a company is any type of business that strives to make a profit; small businesses are generally good examples. A corporation is a business formed of individual stockholders and is generally publicly traded on the stock market; Microsoft fits this bill. An organization is not necessarily non-profit, but a group of people who do a certain thing for a certain purpose; the World Health Organization is an example, as it is a group of people who strive to prevent disease outbreaks throughout the world.

a company is a business. Yes, i spelled that right. a corporation works with another business. and an organization is non-profit, mostly volunteer work.

The difference is in the legal form of how they can be created, the size of each of them reported to the business volume expected to each of these legal forms and the employees each society can use.

Legally it is only defined for the IRS.
A company is usually a sole proprietor.
A corportation is set up in various ways, S corp and etc.
Organization is non profit.
All in all the difference is how they are taxed and other than that not much else is different.

midas
they are the same..
