A costumer is a person or entity that designs, makes, manufactures and markets costumes for shows and entertainment. A Target group is a group of people lined up outside a Target store, waiting to get in and find bargains. Hopes this helps. You need oxygen? |

Your target group contains the people who are your most likely customers. Customers are the people who actually buy from you. |

Target group is the set of buyers you aim your offers and advertising at....customers are the ones who actually purchase.
In your plan....make the target group more "aspirational" by saying what you can add or do differently to expand the reasons customers will buy from you...for example; if you are a cleaner....add a service like powerwashing to expand the types of sevices you can sell |

A customer is someone who buys your good or services.
A 'Target Group" is a group of potential customers that you may want to advertise to that would be interested in your product.
For example....Beer advertisers buy commercail time during football games and auto races when beer drinkers are watching TV....that's a 'Target Group"
If a "Tampon" company advertised during the same time, the would not be aiming at a very good target.....that's why they advertise during daytime hours of Soaps and gameshows....when their "Target Group" are watching TV. |

i think a target group is the group of folks with the right demographics etc that may or may not be customers depending on if they conduct business with you.
you have the best chance of a customer if you reach out through ads and what not to your specific target group.
if you want to sale a skate board you would not target the group of females 65 years and older, because there are very few customers there. you would target the group young males 10 to 18 or whatever. that's where your best customer base would be!
here's something else to consider. continuing with the skate board company, through marketing research lets say you discover your target group is the 10 to 18 young male group, but their disposable income is such that you actually want to target their parents as your customers, (these are high quality expensive skate boards). well, you might want to advertise in a way that appeals to both groups, maybe fun for the kids and SAFETY for the parents. get it? sales of skate boards will go through the roof. |
