What is the process of turning in a Safeway Club Card Application?
I went to Safeway (I'm only 17 and half) and bought something quick for a party yesterday and the cashier gave me a application for the card club discount thing. If my parents sign it and turned it in. What would happen?
Nothing, really. You just could take advantage of their 'Club Card' sales deals. I have one. I like Safeway. That's the store I (usually) shop at these days.
But to cut down to it, see, those cards actually are used as a means to determine what people buy. Like, if I go in and buy stuff with cash, the store has no record of who I am. If I use a 'Club Card' or any other grocery store savings card, they can and do gather information about what products I buy and how often I buy them. This doesn't bother me at all, personally. To be honest, I've been buying my goods at local 'mom and pop' stores recently, rather than at Safeway. But Safeway sends me little e-mail ads quite often offering like a free 2-liter bottle of soda if I come in and spend over $150. Those always crack me up :-)
