It pleasures him to see all the 'company people' act so concerned & upset... He truly hopes each & everyday he comes into work that the company falls short of its goals. Not that he's not going to do his work, he will do it the best he can but still is very pleased when the company fails.
Everyone else's morale is down, worried about getting fired/laid-off, and he's prancing around like a fairy .... what is wrong with him? |

Hard to say....maybe it's all a front and he's just acting nonchalant to hide his concern. Or maybe he wants out of his job and doesn't really care. Either way, that is probaby not a good attitude to be portraying to the higher-ups. |

Well, I used to work for major companies with staff in the upper 100's. When a company either in a large scale or not, will always have at least 1 or 2 of them in there. As a frequently hired manager, I would face these people which I had to let go. Then rumors would spread to say that our company is failing and also not going to be something as a whole anymore and everyone is going to get effected.
Due to the fact of their ego and insecurities about their performance, they tend to drag other people into their little fake circle to make people believe that will happen.
So, of their insecurities they tend to be an arrogant a'hole and tell everyone what they think about the company treating them bad.
I recently had this experience. I am being laid off but the way my boss did it was to say to me 3 month lay off as he reorganize the office, while he is telling everyone that he had fired me because I was not performing.
I had long thoughts about this and thought to myself that I did perform to the best ability and able to give my work more than a 110%. But if he is unsatisfied then why not just say it straight instead of lying to me. |

Yes i have seen this behavior,,,of course he is "dancing around like a fairy" It is a tremendous boost to his self worth,, i don't know the correct medical term for this , but this same ,man more then likely will do the same to his children if one is doing poorly in life it will elate him and if another is doing well it will make him feel he is a failure , believe it or not ,, i have never seen people who have this personalty disorder change, they spend there entire lives this way,, best thing u can do is point his behavior out to him it may or may not work depending on how deep his disorder is, good luck |

Sounds like the same company I work for.
My guess would be he's upset at the company for the same reasons other people's morale is down and just expresses it differently. |
