Every organization has its own culture; if you don't fit in, you will be out and that's the politics. I worked many places in the past (Okay, I am revealing too much about myself here now.), be it the government agency, publicly traded company or privately owned firm, all have their unique politics. Conflicts occur when there are promotions, earning credits or strong personalities. It's a tough world out there, have you heard the "dog eats dog" expression. Okay, basically, work place is full of that kind of craps; unless you don't need to make a living; you pretty much have to play the politics in order to survive. Being bullied, if anyone said they hadn't been, I would say they are lying or they are just VERY very lucky! All bosses bully their subordinates one way or another; some are skillful, some are just pure xxxxxxxx! |

Well, I didn't experienced being bullied at work... Our politics is more on survival of the fittest. People are pulling you down to push themselves up.
What I did, well I created "the need" for me. So no matter how they pull me down, they are unsuccessful because I was able to prove my importance or the "need" for me. |

I had an experience while working for a well known company in the UK aircraft industry. Two of us applied for a job I had more experience and he knew someone in the Buff's (Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes). The someone he knew would also be the person we would, if successful, be working with.
Guess who got the job - well it wasn't me!
I can recollect lots of people being promoted that way it was as if the Buff's were a recruitment agency.

I have experienced it last week, conflicts between me and a co-worker over a very minor things, not related to job. I know she hates me but it's funny when you hate someone personally and dragging it into office hours and disturb your integrity at work.
She reported me to my boss saying that my speaker was too loud..i turn the volume to loud because she too noisy yelling to us. Then my boss instructed me to not to listen to any radio channel online. I talked to him, I want to listen because my responsibility is high and listening to music can decrease my stress level. I also informed him that my co-worker always tried to start a row with me complete with details of incidence and occurrence. I also informed him I caught her sleeping during office hours and playing games when my boss is away but never reported to my boss before and now over the small thing he reported me, totally untoletared.
My boss seems to understand my problem and show him I'm the victim here. and there she goes, she already submit her resign letter. |

Well, believe or not, I am not working or working for someone or yet started to be a sole proprietor, my own country of 5 millions population and the corrupting alliances from the world have been starting to pull me down and push them up all the way.
U name it, everyone is involved as long as this is me. The best part of my life is with my zero contact, 0 communicating, yet people from all walks of life can conflict with me as they feel pleased. The conflicts are 247/365 expressively non stop and I have not earn a single cent todate because I am conflicted by everyone.
The cycle of Life!
There is no such thing as the strongest fits the survival, this is a just simply lame excuses to fear u all down to the deepest while the strongest can survive easily without stressful of losing the strongest standhold because all actions have an opposite = reacted action - Newton's 2nd law of motion.
E.g. The Strongest will become weak and the Weakest will become Strong. I do good, I am rewarded. I do bad, I face my own consequences. I am poor but I will be rich one day. I am rich and I will be poor again. |
