Because without it we are heathens. It gives us a basis on which we can maintain a lifestyle, i.e. make life easier.
Example:
Before money:
2 chickens for 1 goat.... ok...
different man, 1 turkey for 1 goat... no..
Their is noway to measure something's worth, it might be worth 2 chickens, but 3 turkeys... etc..
The US Dollar "For all debts, public and private"... meaning it was a value system. It made life easier. Well what if a guy only wants chickens? Well he sells his goat, buys chickens tada... simplest answer for ya :D |
