Because Wal-Mart was created for the purpose of supplying everything people in a rural community would want to buy, it sells everything you can imagine. They have everything a farmer and his family would possibly think of spending money on. They usually have a big automotive department, electronics dep't, gardening dep't, furniture, etc.
Also, some of the biggest Wal-Marts have full grocery stores with fresh produce and everything. But most of them only have meat, dairy, thinks like that.
And everything is cheap because of two reasons: first is Wal-Mart's legendary distribution network, which makes it really cheap for Wal-Mart to ship to stores, and also the obvious economies of scale they have reached by this point. Any company that wants to sell anything in Wal-Mart must send a rep to the middle of Arkansas, hours away from Little Rock (the capital city of Arkansas). |

They sell clothing, automotive fluids and accecories, food, hygiene products, toy bicycles, mostly everything, and almost all of it is made by people who make $3 a day in China.
You're lucky they haven't invaded Australia yet. |
