There's an excellent documentary about this subject called "The Corporation".
It talks about how a corporations only ethics can be to its shareholders and this determines what it does and how it behaves.
It's really interesting. All you have to do is type "The Corporation" in Google and you'll go right to the website. |

really ethics play an very important role in organisations
business is concerned for profit . it is all about making custemers. ethics is nothing but to follow the policies that were established in the earlier years. for example in india priviously corporates were focusing on consumers and u follow the same now. if u dont focus on consumers then u cant survive in this compeititive world so for som extent u must have to follow the ethical codes |

While the subject of ethics can be gray and argued at great length. It is the lack of ethics that have brought about some of the greatest involvement of the government in to business.
For example, and I will probably not get the correct titles, the environmental health agency, OSHA, Sarbanes-Oxley. These were created to watch over businesses/industries that could not find the ethical fortitude to do the right thing.
How about the labor unions? Weren't they initial created to support workers of unethical businesses? To improve wages and working conditions? I know they have strayed from their original purpose, but they did have a somewhat noble purpose in the beginning.
Ethics does not have to play in to business at all. But, if companies don't feel the need to act responsibly, they can just wait and have another governmental agency watch over them. |

There should be a special fund for these 'victims' of crime, who prolly will never get work again. |
